I’m pretty proud of how courageous I have always been, but I wish I’d jumped further, sooner. I think the fear of failure can be such an obstacle for so many of us, but really there is nothing quite so liberating as making mistakes. There is no shame in trying and not succeeding.

Home day dream scenario: Pretty much every Sunday. If you asked me this question 15 years ago maybe it would be escaping for a day in London, or something like that. But now it's an easy Sunday, seeing family, a big family lunch and then flopping on the sofa in front of the fire.

There isn't one way of doing business. It feels a bit like anyone who has had success with their business then tries to package that into a course to show you how to do it - and while that will be great for some people there definitely isn't a one size fits all for business - so it's ok to find your own ways and find things that work for you in a way that feels good.

The internet never stops so I found having to be 'on' all the time without a break hard at times and at this point I was blogging three times a day to build up a readership. I'm proud of the hours I put in teaching myself HTML how to use a DSLR or to edit a video because when my hobby became a viable business it allowed us all bigger freedoms as a family.
